Advice for a successful veterinary visit
Please follow these recommendations to get ready for the consultation
Prepare your animal for the veterinarian's visit
To facilitate the veterinarian's work and to make sure that your animal receives the best possible care, it is important to take a few precautions and get some things ready for the appointment.
Before the veterinarian arrives, make sure you follow these few recommendations.
- Make sure that all the animals that require a veterinary exam are inside the
house 30 minutes before the appointment.
For fearful and hard to catch cats, keep them in the bathroom while waiting for
the veterinarian.
- Be home at least 30 minutes before and after the scheduled appointment
time. The veterinarian tries to be on time but, some animals require longer care and
short delays are possible.
- Make sure to turn off your televisions, radios and cell phones.
A calm and quiet environment is essential for a proper evaluation of your animal's
health.
- Have a clean, uncluttered and well-lit table or counter top that the veterinarian can
use for his exams.
- Have all health papers, type of food and medications taken by your animals on
hand.
